Nice.

Very funny, the pace of the action was perfect and aligned with the soundtrack in a way that portrays almost Hollywood-esque choreography. The lighthearted overtone of the movie was never lost, thought it is noteworthy that the only non-anthropomorphic character was the woman Murray the Monkey was saving. The way this flash doesn't take itself at all seriously was also very funny and well-done, making it enjoyable to watch(if the fact that it's about a ninja-monkey isn't enough, the monkey pulls a jetpack and helmet out of his pants as if by magic).

It also held a certain "old-school" appeal which added to the overall quality (considering the style of the movie was consistent). The introduction of the characters couldn't have been done better. Excellent work.

Overall, this flash was funny, light, and worth watching twice.

Very nice

Although this flash was a very nice 9/11 tribute, carrying along with it a message regarding the "history repeats itself" idea, I had some issues with it. However, I'd like to first point out that, yes, indeed there are physical impossiblities abundant in this flash. Furthermore, I couldn't possibly care less. That's not what this flash was about. If it were called, perhaps, "Bill Nye's Happy Fun Science Adventure," then you certainly can complain when you see two planets within a few thousand kilometers of each other without colliding, or a hole being drilled into the hull of a ship in outer space. Nevertheless, this flash is SCIENCE FICTION, and further had a point which didn't involve the physics of the underlying situation. The author clearly spent more time crafting the symbolism than delving into Kepler's Equations (and with good reason).

Moving on, the flash's point is obvious, not only is it a 9/11 tribute (I noticed some reviewers missed this fact and claimed it was inappropriate after 9/11...uhmm...<< revs bitterness/sarcasm engine >> ... ehh, too easy) but also a reminder that history repeats itself. Thus, the flash does an excellent job of portraying it's message to the viewer, the symbolism isn't deep to a degree that everyone won't grasp it.

My problem is with the ending...it was a little too abrupt. I was ready for a profound conclusion to this piece, but unfortunately the message was a rather cliched "life goes on." I hate to be critical, but that's just how I saw it. Otherwise the flash was quite good.
